Has practiced law in New York for more than 40 years.

  • Until the end of 2008, he retired as a Senior Partner in the international law firm of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. in which he was a member for almost 30 years and today serves in an Of Counsel capacity at the firm, which today is now called Norton Rose Fulbright US, LLP and has almost 4,000 lawyers in 55 offices worldwide.
  • Initially practiced law in the Law Department of the City of New York and then became General Counsel of New York City’s Department of Consumer Affairs under Commissioner Bess Myerson.
  • In 1974, joined the 40 lawyer law firm of Reavis & McGrath, where he became a Partner in the Litigation Department in 1979, specializing in commercial disputes in the Federal and state courts throughout the United States.
  • In 1980, he joined the corporate department of the firm and worked on a variety of commercial transactions ranging from general corporate work, financings, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • In 1989, Reavis & McGrath had grown to approximately 140 lawyers and merged with another law firm, Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P., with approximately 600 lawyers.
  • In 1995, he was asked to take over Fulbright’s Israeli practice and to assist the Firm both in developing and creating new personal and professional relationships as well as developing new clients, a practice which he headed until his retirement.
  • He visited Israel 120 times and through his efforts, the firm was engaged to handle diverse assignments for Israel-based companies, venture funds and private entrepreneurs, particularly financings through public and private offerings of securities as well as assisting in developing strategies to establish a U.S. presence through acquisitions, licensing arrangements and joint ventures with U.S. companies.
  • In addition to the assignments referred to above, he has brought a broad breadth of experience and perspective to assignments involving marketing and distribution, employment and other types of agreements involving intellectual property, labor, environmental and real estate matters.
